can't access to cpanel due to DNS error

I'm trying to access the cpanel of the site of my client but after I log in I have a DNS error for this address

https://%20vps9652.inmotionhosting.com:2083/login/


I used your service in the past 3 years and this is the first time I have this kind of error

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with the URL. The first thing that I'm seeing is that there appears to have been some substitution in the URL. The URL posted in this question is as follows:

https://%20vps9652.inmotionhosting.com:2083/login/

It should be

http://vps9652.inmotionhosting.com:2083

- it will automatically jump to the cPanel login with https. You will need to trust the certificate if you haven't set a service one up for the cpanel (SSL certificates are typically set to a domain name - not the temp URL) . This is typically only done with Root Access to the server.

 

However, the main problem is definitely the URL - when I set it to

http://vps9652.inmotionhosting.com:2083

it is working. Check out the article on logging into cPanel. It briefly discusses using the port#'s 2082 or 2083 when logging in. This method of logging into the cPanel uses the VPS id instead of the primary domain name.
