Across the nation talented high school students are competing in a Virtual Enterprise Competition. A Virtual Enterprise is a simulated business that is setup and operated by students to prepare them for working in a real business environment. With the guidance of a teacher ("consultant") and real world business partners, the students determine the nature of their business, its products and services, its management and structure, engage in the daily operations of running a business and learn personal financial skills. Emphasis is placed on using current business software, communications, and the Internet for business transactions and on-line banking.
A group of young students from the Advanced Technology Center in Virginia Beach have formed Splash, Inc a Virtual Enterprise business that will provide web design services to other student driven businesses in the competition. InMotion Hosting is serving as the real world business partner providing the group with guidance in creating their business plan, company structure, and pricing models.
During the month of October Splash, Inc team members had the opportunity to meet with Leadership Team members at IMH and ATC facilities. Take a peek at the visits below with Todd Robinson, Co-Owner and President, Sunil Saxena, Co-Owner and Executive Vice President, and Bob Anderson, Director of Sales and Marketing.
