Our Partnership Spotlight series will serve to highlight these organizations and give them credit for all they do. In our second installment we are highlighting our relationship with the largest provider of higher education in Hampton Roads, TCC!
TCC has been serving the Hampton Roads community for 50 years, helping students achieve their individual goals. They offer various Computer Science and IT programs such as Computer Science, Cyber Security, Database Specialist, and more to choose from!

How has your experience at InMotion Hosting been since you have joined the team?
Excellent.
What degree/program have you pursued through TCC?
I’ve not pursued a degree or certificate, but I followed the Computer Science track at TCC to learn programming.
What resources does TCC offer to help in your career progression?
Programming skills
What is your current position with the company? If you have moved to a different role since starting, what role did you start with in IMH?
Operations Support Specialist. I started out in Customer Service, and moved to Customer Loyalty in January 2019, then to Ops.
Coming from TCC, what do you think was the best thing you have learned from TCC that you applied to your position at InMotion Hosting?
Programming best practices and critical thinking skills.
What are your long-term career goals and what path would you like to grow in with the company?
I would like to work in Development and otherwise be a Developer.
Francesca Carey
How has your experience at InMotion Hosting been since you have joined the team?
I have a great time working here at InMotion Hosting. The people I work with are wonderful.
What degree/program have you pursued through TCC?
I’m still one Chemistry course away from getting my Associates in Computer Science.
What resources does TCC offer to help in your career progression?
Obviously my computer classes have helped me learn how to learn technical subject matter.
What is your current position with the company? If you have moved to a different role since starting, what role did you start with in IMH?
I am currently Customer Service Representative.
Coming from TCC, what do you think was the best thing you have learned from TCC that you applied to your position at InMotion Hosting?
Keep on top of your game. There’s a lot to learn in the computer industry and it is always evolving
What are your long-term career goals and what path would you like to grow in with the company?
If they will continue to keep me around, I think I will stay at InMotion Hosting for the long haul. I would like to, at some point, work in Systems.
