What is your favorite part about the Managed Hosting Department?

Betsy:  I have a great team of people to work, awesome regular customers, and plenty of challenges to face on a daily basis.

Muhammad: My favorite part of the job is learning new technologies and being constantly amazed by the ever evolving internet.Being able to learn new things about web hosting and Linux!

What is the most challenging part of your job?

Betsy: In the world of web hosting, there are countless services, tools, and software our customers may decide to use. Part of my job is to study and learn about those things on the fly so I can better assist our customers in accomplishing their goals.

Muhammad: Handling new issues, learning new software and automation is fun and challenging at the same time.

What current experience, initiative or project are you most excited about?

Betsy: At this time, I am studying Ansible and hope to learn how to
create roles so I can benefit our customers who also choose to use this
tool.

Muhammad: Writing documentation with proven methods and sharing them with the team is what excites me the most while being part of the Managed Hosting team.

How do you impact our customers?

Betsy: My position is customer facing. I help provide in-depth server side troubleshooting for our customers, specialized server configuration, and installation of server software that falls out of scope for our Customer Success team to handle. I also help new customers get started when they sign up with InMotion.

Muhammad: By providing solutions, understanding and meeting customer’s
requirements and by ensuring our customers are aware that we got their
back.

What does your morning look like?

Betsy:  As a second shift worker, I wake up pretty late in the morning. I make myself a pot of french press coffee while doing dishes, and get situated to start work.

Muhammad: Coffee under the sun while reading the morning news feed.

What do you do for lunch/break?

Betsy: Since working remote, I usually grab a quick bite to eat and use my lunch time to take care of chores around the house.

Muhammad: Eat, make phone calls, take power naps.

How do you end your work day?

Betsy: After I finish up with work, I usually end my day with a late dinner and find something to watch on various streaming platforms. Occasionally, I’ll call a family member and catch up with them, or hang out with a couple select people I’ve allowed in my bubble during this pandemic.

Muhammad: By ensuring that promises I made to my customers are kept and telling my team good bye for the day.

What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Betsy:  I enjoy spending time with other people, reading, taking walks, and going to the beach. I hope to get back into older hobbies I have abandoned in recent years such as making art and playing keyboard.

Muhammad: Kite flying, frisbee, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
