Hometown: I’m originally from Virginia Beach, VA. Grew up in Elizabeth City, NC from age 6-18 though. Moved back here as soon as I could.
Position: Manager – Advanced Product Support
Been with InMotion Hosting since: December 2010
What is your current role at InMotion Hosting? What do you like most about it?
My current role is Advanced Product Support Manager, which oversees the Advanced Product Support Team as well as T2C, an escalation point team for T1’s. I love working with my teams, and they’re both technically advanced, which is a plus. I enjoy being able to improve and create processes that provide a positive impact on the customer’s experience.
What position did you start in with IMH? Tell us about your career growth since then.
I started here as a T1 here with a little Linux experience. I knew troubleshooting though. I was able to quickly advance to the T2C team, followed by the T2 Systems team all within the first year. Over the next couple of years I progressed through the T2S team into T2S-II, Team Lead, and finally Supervisor. I transitioned from T2S Supervisor to Advanced Product Support Manager during my 5th year at the company. Throughout my journey, I was able to build and reinforce my customer service, technical, and leadership skills.
Coolest gadget you own, want to own or have read about?
This isn’t the most exciting answer, but the coolest gadget I own would definitely have to be my computer. It’s the tool that started all of this for me. It allows me to learn, research, connect with people, build things, and it works as a source of entertainment. I don’t know where I’d be without it
What would you like to tell us about yourself?
I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with a lot of great people at InMotion, and I really appreciate that experience. I’ve made plenty of friends here over the years and I’ve adopted some great hobbies and positive experiences as a result. I rock climb because I was introduced to it by a coworker here. The house I own and the car I drive were both referred and suggested to me by people I work or have worked with. InMotion and the people I’ve met here have had such an influential experience on not just my work life, but my personal life as well.
