How to create a database backup in PHP-Nuke

When creating a website with PHP-Nuke, or any other CMS for that matter, it is always a good idea to make and keep backup copies of your data at regular intervals. This tutorial focuses on how to create a database backup from within your PHP-Nuke administrative dashboard.

Backing up your database in PHP-Nuke

  1. Log into your PHP-Nuke administative interface.

  2. click on backup db in admin menu

From the main administrative page, look through the Administration Menu and click on the Backup DBicon.

  3. save file popup menu

This brings up a window with the choice to either Save or Open File. Click Save to download the file to your local machine. The name of the file will be Save. Be sure to save it in a secure place on your machine.

That is all there is to backing up your database! Be sure to do it on a regular basis, whether it be weekly, monthly, or any other timeframe you need. This will help you recover lost data in the case of accidental loss.
