How to Create an SRV Record in cPanel

cPanel allows you to make DNS changes using the Zone Editor. One common DNS record that users need to add is an SRV record. Please keep in mind that these changes, as with all DNS changes, may take up to 4 – 24 hours to take effect. This article will show you how to add an SRV record in cPanel.

  1. Login to cPanel
  2. Click on Zone Editor
    Advanced Zone Editor icon
     
     
  3. Select your domain
    Select Domain from Dropdown
     
     
  4. In the Add a Record section, select the SRV Type
    select the SRV Type
     
     
  5. Fill in your SRV values, and click Add Record
    click Add Record
     
     

Congratulations! You have now created an SRV record for your domain! Please keep in mind that these changes, as with all DNS changes, may take up to 4 – 24 hours to take effect.
