Displaying Specials in specific areas of OpenCart

Now that you have installed the Specials module and configured your sale items in OpenCart, you can add a Widget to specific areas of your website to display your sale items. This can help your website’s visitors find specials that they might not be looking for. This is easily accomplished in the OpenCart dashboard.

  1. Log into your OpenCart Dashboard
  2. Go to Extensions > Modules
  3. Find the Specials Module and click “Edit”

  4. opencart_sale_1

  5. Click “Add Module
  6. Fill in the fields as needed
  7. opencart_sale_2

  8. Click “Save

Now, when you visit your website you should see a specails module placed on the page displaying all the products who you have set a special price for.

    1. Hello Hasnain Mohammed,

As per the last response on this page, this article is almost 3 years old, and does not take into account anything for OpenCart 2.0. We are still in the process of updating the documentation for OpenCart 2.0. You may want to check Open Cart support forums for more information and help.

      Regards,
      Arnel C.

    1. Hello Amitesh,

As this article is almost 3 years old, it does not take into account anything for OpenCart 2.0. We currently do not have any content written for 2.0 as it is still fairly unstable. For now you may want to check with the OpenCart forums to see if they have any answers.

      Kindest Regards,
      Scott M

    1. Hello Vinay,

This will depend on your specific layout. What OpenCart theme/template are you using for your website?

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
      Thank you,

      -John-Paul
