Like most free open source software, PHP-Fusion has the ability to install themes to your site. There are many free themes online you can use for your PHP-Fusion site. In this article we will teach you how to upload your own theme to your server.
For teaching purposes, we will install the “Birds Fusion” theme. The theme can be downloaded for free at the following link.

Once you download the “Birds Fusion” theme, you should have a zip file with the following name:
birds-fusion.zip
Follow the steps below to get the “Birds Fusion” theme installed on your PHP-Fusion site.
Steps to install a custom theme
- Upload the zip file to the /themes directory in your root folder for your PHP-Fusion site.
Extract the .zip file in the themes directory. The folder should look like the snapshot to the right.
- Log into your PHP-Fusion Admin Panel.
Switch your PHP-Fusion theme to your new theme.
Now your PHP-Fusion site will look like the snapshot to the right.
