After learning about the Sales and Orders report we continue moving along in the Working With Product Stats course. This report is the Catalog Statistics report. It covers various details on the products that are being purchased from your store. It also includes a table of all products that have never been purchased at your store. This information is very helpful in deciding whether to keep, re-price the items, or place them on sale. Below are the steps for accessing the report along with more detailed explanation.
How to access the Catalog Statistics report in PrestaShop 1.5
- Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 admin dashboard.
- Using the top menu bar, hover over the Stats tab and click on the Stats option.
- This will bring you to the Stats page. On the left hand sidebar are the many stats reports. Click on the Catalog Statistics link.
- The Catalog statistics report displays data based on the activity within your website catalog, specifically the products sold. You are able to filter them further by selecting a category from the drop-down located in the upper right corner of the report. The top chart is a list of various metrics you can use to evaluate your products and how they are selling:
Products Available The number of products in the categories selected Average Price (base price) Average price of all products in the selected categories Product pages viewed The number of pages visited in the categories selected Products bought The number of products purchased for selected categories Average number of page visits Number of visits to these categories Average number of purchases Average purchases made in the selected categories Images available Number of images used to display products Average number of images Average number of images per item in the selected categories Products never viewed Number of products never viewed by visitors in the categories Products never purchased Number of produtcs neverpurchased by visitors Conversion rate Ratio of visitors vs purchases. It is possible to purchase a product without visiting the category as well, skewing the number above 1 Below these metrics is a table that displays the products you have that have not yet sold. This information is helpful in deciding how to price them or even if you wish to replace them.
