Adding a PrestaShop 1.5 Manufacturer Description

After you have added a new product manufacturer in PrestaShop 1.5, and can then added a description for your manufacturer. This description will show to your users when they are browsing products based on the manufacturer.

To modify your Manufacturer Description in PrestaShop 1.5:

1. Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 Dashboard
2. In the top menu, hover over Catalog and click Manufacturers
3. Within the list of manufacturers on the page, click the edit button (pencil icon) to the far rights of the manufacturer
4. Next to Short description, enter a small and to the point description about the manufacturer. Next to Description, enter more details about your manufacturer.
5. When finished typing in your manufacturer descriptions, click the Save button in the top right menu.

   In our testing, we entered the following descriptions for the Apple Computer, Inc manufacturer:

   Short description	This is the short description for the Apple Manufacturer.
   Description	This is the long description for the Apple Manufacturer.

   When users are browsing your products based on manufacturer, they will first see the short description.

   Under the short description is a link that says More. When users click the more link, the regular description will show.
