Once you have installed Logaholic onto your account, you may want to set it to run automatically every 24 hours. Below we describe how to do this so you can keep track of your website stats on a daily basis.
How to Automate Logaholic
- Log into your cPanel admin dashboard.
- Locate and click on the Cron Jobs icon located in the Advanced category.
Set up the cron job to run as often as you like. We do not recommend running any more than once per day as that can cause resource issues for your account.
Below is a template for the command to set in the Command field on the screen. The words in red will need to be replaced with your personal data. The username will be your cPanel username and the profilename will be the name of the profile you set up in your logaholic. Your path can also change, depending on where you set it up during installation. The folder named logaholicbelow in green represents the directory that was declared during the install, yours may be different.
php -q /home/username/public_html/logaholic/update.php profilename >/dev/null- Once you have entered the data, click on the Add New Cron Job button and it will appear in the Current Cron Jobs list below. From there it will run regularly at the specified times.
Now you should have no problem checking your site stats whenever you like. You can also run the stat update manually at any time by logging into your Logaholic profile.
