Privacy for personal data has become a concern with Europe changing privacy for personal data. WordPress has responded with several updates to its interface including its Privacy settings. Privacy Settings in WordPress are used to provide a privacy page for your WordPress site. The following tutorial focuses on the Privacy settings within the WordPress Administrator.
Privacy Settings In WordPress
- Log in to WordPress as an Administrator
- Click on Settings
- Click on Privacy
- You will see a paragraph informing you to select or create a privacy page for your site. There is a default privacy page created for each WordPress site. However, if you have other data that you are collecting then you need to make sure that your privacy page is up-to-date. Click on Edit to edit the existing privacy page, or click on View to review it.
- There are links that can help guide you in creating your Privacy policy page. You can click on the existing page (provided by WordPress), or click on the drop-down arrow to select the sample page. You can also click on Create New Page to create a new Privacy Policy page.
You should now know how to select a custom privacy page or use the default one.
