WordPress 4.3 Beta 1 Available

WordPress 4.3 Beta Now Available!!!

As of July 2, 2015, the new Beta for WordPress version 4.3 has been released. You can download Below is a list of a few things that will be in the new version. You can download the beta here or you can try the WordPress Beta Tester plugin.

It is not recommended to upgrade to a BETA version on a live production environment. Please be responsible and use it in a testing environment.
  • Menus will not be able to be managed via the Customizer (#32576).
  • The Site Icon feaure will be added to manage your site’s favicon and app icon (#16434).
  • The Better Password feature for password management (#32589).
  • Editor Improvements have also been added allowing for automatic transformation of certain text patterns (#31441).
  • List view improvements have also been made, allowing small devices to be viewed without truncation (#32395).

For developers, there have also been a few changes:

  • Taxonomy Roadmap: Terms that are shared across taxonomies are now split into separate terms (#30261).
  • singular.php has been added to the template hierarchy. This is a fallback for single.php and page.php (#22314).
  • Distraction Free Writing code has been removed (#30949).
  • List tables can have a defined primary column (#25408).
