Mozilla has released a security alert for vulnerabilities in their FireFox, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey line of products.
Please note that this has nothing to do with InMotion Hosting’s services, and our servers are not vulnerable in any way because of this. We simply would like to alert all of our customers, as these are very common products that our customers utilize in order to access their hosting accounts with us.
Customers running any versions of these products older than the following list, should upgrade immediately to avoid any possible security implications.
Firefox 20
Firefox ESR 17.0.5
Firefox ESR 10.0.12
Thunderbird 17.0.5
Thunderbird ESR 17.0.5
Thunderbird ESR 10.0.12
SeaMonkey 2.17
Upgrade FireFox
- Navigate to Help > About FireFox from the menu.
- It should start to upgrade FireFox to the latest version.
- After it’s done downloading the newest version, click on Restart to Update to complete the upgrade.
Upgrade Thunderbird
- Navigate to Help > About Thunderbird from the menu.
- It should start to upgrade Thunderbird to the latest version.
- After it’s done downloading the newest version, click on Update & Restart to complete the upgrade.
Upgrade SeaMonkey
- Navigate to Help > Check for Updates from the menu.
- It should start to upgrade SeaMonkey to the latest version.
- After it’s done downloading the newest version, click on Restart to Update to complete the upgrade.
