FTP Error with FileZilla

When using the current v3.14 of FileZilla as FTP client, I receive the following error when uploading files to Inmotion servers:

GnuTLS error -110: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
Server did not properly shut down TLS connection
Could not read from transfer socket: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
Error: Connection closed by server

Word is from the FileZilla forum that this is due to a server side security vulnerability that FileZilla no longer tolerates.

Hello RebusCom,

Can you please tell us the settings you have set in place to connect to this server? Besides the password of course. Has this always been an issue or did it arise recently?

Best Regards,

Hello RebusCom,

Sorry for the problem that you're having with uploading files with FileZilla. This more related to the confirmation of the SSL certificate when you first open FTP. You will need to approve it when you see it.

I setup a test account on your site, and then used the latest version of FileZilla to review this issue. When you see the certificate above, it is correct. Shared server certificates are NOT done in your domain name, so Filezilla will question it because it does not match your domain name. At the bottom, you should check "Always trust this certificate in future sessions". Then click okay.

If you approve the certificate then you should have no problem connecting. If you continue to have problems, please provide more information about how you're connecting and what user you're using.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Regards,

Arnel C.
