How do I update mySQL and php to the latest version?

This is a new empty test site on our VPS. The program we will be testing requires my SQL 5.6 and php5.5x

Hello fiedler, Thank you for your question. We generally do not recommend updating MySQL yourself unless you are confident in what you are doing as it can break your vps container. With PHP you would just run easyapache and select the new PHP version while doing so. Alternatively our support department can also perform these upgrades for you. Best Regards, TJ Edens
