WordPress Jetpack Plugin won't connect to Wordpress.com

I'm in the process of migrating my wordpress site over the inmotion. So far, I've had my comlete cPanel backup extracted, and I'm testing to make sure everything is working. All images and pages are loading fine, but my contact form as stopped working.

I used Jetpack's Add Contact Form feature to create the form initially, so I have logged in to check on the plugin. As a test, I deactivated it and reactivated it. Reactivation causes the error below:

xml_rpc-32601

Try connecting again.

Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site's XML-RPC URL. If you have the W3 Total Cache plugin installed, deactivate W3 Total Cache, try to Connect to WordPress.com again, reactivate W3 Total Cache, then clear W3 Total Cache's cache.

I have followed these instructions, but to no avail. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution?

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for your contacting us about an issue connecting to WordPress.com with the JetPack plugin. I recommend checking the File Permissions to make sure your files are accessible.

Here are the typical permissions:

public_html - 750

Folders - 755

CGI and Perl scripts - 755

.html .php and other Document Types - 644

Putting WordPress in Debug Mode may help provide a more detailed message.

Also, as a test try, you can try disabling mod_security. Then, try and connect Jet Pack again.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.

Thank you,

John-Paul
