How to edit slideshow on home page using BoldGrid Marketing theme

using boldgrid marketing theme (boldgrid version 1.0.5.1, word press 4.4.2), on the default home page has a slider show with different slides, but i can't edit it. I would like to replace that with my own slides or video.


also on the top part there is a reverse black box that says "we've got a lot of ideas to share, learn more" which is not on the editing page.

Hello, Thank you for your contacting us about editing a slideshow on your BoldGrid homepage. I spent some time testing this, and was able to change the slider images with the following steps:
  1. Login to your BoldGrid Dashboard
  2. Visit your site from Active/Staging option
  3. Click the Edit Page link on top.
  4. Scroll down until you see the slider. Click it, then click the pencil logo to edit it.
  5. You will then see the slider images. Check the boxes for the images you want to use, or upload your own images.
I was able to edit the black box with the following steps:
  1. Login to your BoldGrid Dashboard
  2. Visit your site from Active/Staging option
  3. Click Customize
  4. Click Header/Footer Widgets
  5. You will see the Call to action, and you can then edit/change the "we've got a lot of ideas to share, learn more" text.
