I can not download putty on my mac

I am having trouble running puttygen using my mac, I have even tried downloading the unix version of puttygen but I have not been successful

Hello, Sorry for the problem with downloading PuTTY on your Mac. It seems you're trying to run PuTTYGen on your Mac. It should not be necessary as you can use keygen on your Mac in SSH. You can see an example of its use in this post. You should also use Mac's Terminal program in place of PuTTY. If you need to be able to run the Mac version of PuTTY, please see this documentation about loading it in OSX.
