Having issues with products and categories in woocommerce

can't seem to set up the categories properly for my site. Getting frustrated as it is sure making me feel dumb. Example: Product: Hair cutting shears, Subcategory: Manufacturer, Subcategory:Type of Shear... etc.

WooCommerce actually has a very professional series of tutorials that you may want to watch, if you have not seen it. Check out this tutorial.
