I've found out that the I/O usage of the reseller packages is limited to only 1mb/s. How can the limit be raised?

You cannot say, in good conscience, that I/O usage is unrelated to resource usage in our account. It has EVERYTHING to do with resource usage. I/O literally means "In/Out" activity or usage from HDD to RAM. If 1MB I/O bandwidth is achieved (which is pretty easy considering the low limit threshold), then our website will merely hang or receive a 508 error). To say that I/O usage does not reflect our usage of the various hosting resources... Well, that just 100% untruthful.

Hi Santi! Apologies on the terminology confusion. Within our cPanel setup at the time Chris replied to the question, resource usage referred specifically to available disk space. In that circumstance, I/O would not be affecting available disk space.

Now, I/O does of course affect site performance, and I/O, disk space, and available RAM all together affect the site when it comes to things like loading speed. That's why we have so many optimization guides! Apologies on the mix-up and I'll continue to clarify terminology in our resources as we find points where it is vague.

We regret any confusion about I/O usage. This setting is not mentioned in the hosting specifications because it does not affect the hosting functions at all. It is unrelated to resource usage in your account.

I/O usage does not reflect your usage of the various hosting resources. Likewise, I/O usage places no specific limitations on your ability to use the hosting functions you require.

If you believe you are having resource issues feel free to submit a question regarding the issue you're having and we may be able to isolate a possible cause.

Hello, Thank you for contacting us about resource usage on Reseller packages. I'm not sure what you mean specifically. Are you concerned about bandwidth for individual cPanel accounts in your management or your own resource allocation? Individual cPanel accounts you create can be adjusted within WHM. Where are you seeing the limits of 1mb/s mentioned above? Best, Christopher M.
