I cannot remotely connect to MySQL DB

I've already added my IP address per the instructions. However, when attempted to connect via Navicat or DB Beaver, I'm getting the following message when testing the connection: java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user 'USERNAME REMOVED'@'c-50-149-xxx-xxx.hsd1.tn.comcast.net' (using password: YES)

I removed the username and a portion of the IP address from the error message.
