Moving WordPress website from one Web Hosting Provider to another
I have migrated a copy of my WordPress website to a new web host. The current app referred to /home as the home directory. The new host server uses host4 as the home directory name. There is some hard coded HTML code for a slider of 4 images pointing to /home/.... I cannot find the code to replace /home/... with /home4/... If the HTML code is generated and not visible, how can I correct this?
Thank you for your question about WordPress migration. You could try going through the core files, searching for instances "home" and replace them with "host4". Of course, it is always risky to edit source files, so I suggest you have your backup handy in case you need to recover the former version.
