How Do I Backup And Transfer Emails To Another Server?

I want to back up my email from this server on inmotion email account i have and upload it to another server. How is this done?

Hello mynamesbu, Thank you for your question regarding transferring email to another server. If you are using POP to check your email, they are already downloaded off the server by default and reside on the computer you are using to download them. For example, POP stores them within your mail client such as Outlook, Mac Mail, Thunderbird, etc. If you are using IMAP, you can copy the emails to your new server. For example, connect to both hosting accounts (old, and new) and copy from one folder to another. This is covered in detail in our guide Using Thunderbird to transfer Emails between servers.
