favicon for downloaded document

My wordpress website has a personal favicon. One several pages there are links to documents. when I open a link to a document it no longer shows my website's favicon but the Inmotion favicon. Is there a way to change this?

Hello, Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting the right favicon to show on the browser tab. The favicon used by WordPress will not necessarily show on a tab when directly linking to a document. This is because linking directly does not use WordPress. You will want to set a default icon in your root folder for your site. We have an article on setting the favicon for your site.
