Active website in subdirectory with an unused domain as main domain
I would like to be able to have my-active-website.com hosted from a sub directory. I know that inmotion does not recommend the "document root change" method and I rather stay with that recommendation.
Is it possible to use my-unactive-domain.com as the main domain and have it either resolve to a 404, blank, parked, or similar page and have my-active-website.com as an addon domain that is in a sub-directory.
The answer to me seems to be an obvious yes. When signing up for hosting do I just need to make sure that the domain I first associate with the account is an unused domain that I own?
