Cannot Post Boldgrid-created theme to site

I am using a theme in Boldgrid to create a temporary site while I start adding pages and more info to it. But, no matter what I do, it will not post as the main page on the site. There is some homepage on the site that shows up that I did not create and it will not go away. The Boldgrid theme is set to be active, but it is not. Have tried it with 2 different themes.

Hello, Thank you for your question regarding issues posting a BoldGrid theme to the site. I recommend checking your "Reading Settings" in the Dashboard. Here are the steps:
  1. Log into BoldGrid.
  2. Click Settings, then Blog.
  3. Next to Front page displays choose A static page, then select the page from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click the Save Changes button.
