How to Transfer Website Files

Hi - I have just bought a business with a website and I have no idea how to transfer the website files to my server. All I was given by the previous owner is a usb with the website files loaded on it - help!

It is always best to consult a developer who can look at the website files and see what type of code they are using, whether or not the project is a static site or a dynamic site that may require a database. If you are well aware of the code used in the files, and you believe it is ready to move to server, you can use FTP to transfer the files to the server.
