If I register a domain name through InMotion Hosting, does that include DNS service, or do I also have to pay a company like Dyn.com for that? What about if I also buy hosting? What if I already have a hosting plan with you that I'd like to use with the new domain name?

Thanks for your question in regards to a domain registered through InMotion. DNS is provided for a domain when you purchase hosting in addition to a domain's registration. You can point the domain by changing the name servers. When you point them to a DNS service or another host, the DNS authority is changed to that entity and they control the DNS after the change propagates.

Purchasing from a 3rd party registrar and pointing the domain names to our nameservers works with no problems!
