530 Error, Cannot Connect With FTP

Very frustrating - cannot connect to ftp - keep getting 530 message - tried different things as in online support but no help at all - shouldn't be this much trouble to do something so simple - should be better set up

Hello, Thank you for your question about 530 errors messages when attempting to use FTP. 530 error messages are due to permissions of the FTP user not set correctly. If you're hosted with us, I suggest reaching out to our Support department. Ideally, you will want to make sure the user is set to access the home directory. Typically, this occurs when the user exists on the server, so it can log into the server via FTP, but since it does not have privileges to access the folder, its giving you the error.
