How long does it take for a Primary Domain Name change?

How long does it take for a Primary DN change and a parked DN to be actioned?


I received an email indicating the Primary DN change has happened, and the CPannel indicates the Parked DN has happened. When I ftp the hosting, the folders do not indicate it has been done.

Hello Alan, Thank you for your question regarding a Primary Domain Change. The domain name can be changed, but the files that go along with it are not moved. What does this mean? It means that your hosting account's original primary domain (your previous main domain) has website files that either need to be moved or removed from the current location which is typically known as the document root. It also means that when you have your main domain changed, that the files that go along with it are not moved for you. Thank you, John-Paul
