Uploading Images as .jpg's from Flash Drive.

When I try to upload images from my flash drive the image in the media library is blank with a black symbol of a piece of paper with the top right corner folded down. Are my images to large? To note images were created on a mac using Photoshop and I'm using a Toshiba laptop with Microsoft operating system.

I recommend displaying/logging PHP errors as it may provide a more specific message, such as "memory limit exhausted" for example.
