web site pages will save a limited number of characters

I'm incurring a problem with my Joomla 2.5 web site that suggests to me that someone hacked my site by loading some malicious coding. I say that because pages on my web site will save only a certain amount of characters/data. That's a very recent problem that began occurring only a few days ago after never encountering such a problem over the previous five years.

How can I resolve this issue; (please don't tell me to contact my developer, as I am the developer).

Hello, Sorry for the problems with your Joomla 2.5 website being unable to save only a little bit of data. If it's a server related issue, I recommend submitting a verified support ticket to have our live support team review your account to see if there's something limiting your account. By default, there is no server side limit prohibiting the site from saving data in certain amounts. If it's a Joomla -related issue, you may be better off restoring a backup (if you have one), or you may need to make sure that a plugin or other setting is not causing the issue. I tried and did not see anyone with a similar problem in the Joomla forums. Beyond that, I would recommend speaking with a Joomla expert in order to see what can be done to identify and then resolve the issue.
