Ftp using IP Address

Hi,

I am a new Customer and I am transferring my site to inmotion. My DNS has not been setup so how do I use ftp using IP Address so I can upload my files etc?

Hello globalpeace, Thanks for your question about using FTP. All you will need to connect are the following:
  1. The shared IP address of your server.
  2. cPanel username
  3. cPanel password
You will use the IP address as the hostname in your FTP client, and the cPanel login credentials will be used as the user login. Our FTP Getting Started guide will prove a handy reference. Best, Christopher M.
