pbpbb installation not sending emails

Hello. I recently installed phpbb ona sub domain and installed a theme on it. I am trying the notification features but no email notification is being sent for anything. A new registration, a private message received.. none of these event are sending emails to me. what could be the reason for this? thanks

Hello Serdar, Sorry for the problems with phpBB not being able to send email notifications. First, we recommend using the SMTP settings. Then if that still doesn't work make sure to try diable Mod Security which may be blocking the application. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.
