Hello Martin,

Sorry for the issue with the "mht" or "htm" files when linking through Onedrive.  First, I'm not sure that your web browser is setup to recognize "mht" files as it's an old Microsoft archival format. You can read more about it here.

Basically, it's meant to be parsed and then displayed like an HTML page, but it can have media on the page. WordPress is auto-generating web pages from posts and pages created within the WordPress editor.  When you embed an old format like this, I think that it is NOT being recognized by the new WordPress editor. The embedding systems used by WordPress was made to display media files, not older formats that were designed to be displayed directly in a browser.  You may be better off simply adding the file to your webserver and then using a direct link to the file.

I would recommend that you take the page and basically recreate it as a WordPress-based post (or page), and then use the link for that page/post instead of trying to embed the file.

I hope this is clear.  The basic issue is that you're trying to use an old format (created by Microsoft) that can't be read by the WordPress. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest Regards,

Arnel C.
