Hello and thanks for contacting us. WordPress can be used for blogs, regular pages, e-commerce sites, and more.

You can uninstall it via Softaculous or manually but if you want to continue with WordPress, we'll be more than happy to assist if you provide more information on what you're doing.

Hello,

Thank you for your question about re-installing WordPress and BoldGrid. Yes, if you can re-install WordPress, and you have this process down, that is all you need to know. BoldGrid is a plugin that works from within WordPress; so installing a fresh WordPress site will not have the BoldGrid plugin. That will be your opportunity to re-install BoldGrid.

Best,

Hello,

Thank you for your question about deleting WordPress. If WordPress was installed using Softaculous, I recommend uninstalling using Softaculous.

Otherwise, yes you can delete the WordPress files, and database manually.

It may be helpful to perform a complete backup before deleting files, in case you ever need to revert back to a previous state.

Thank you,

John-Paul

Hello CurrentRob, IF you installed Wordpress using Softaculous, then you need to run Softaculous again (from the Cpanel) and then use the un-install option that they give you. Otherwise, the manual installation is going to require that you be familiar with all of the files/folders/databases that are associated with the Wordpress installation.
You will need to use either the Cpanel File Manager or a FTP client in order to review and remove these files. NOTE: Make sure that you take note of your database information in the WP-CONFIG.PHP file before deleting. This way, you know what database is associated with the installation.
Remove all of the files and folders associated with the Wordpress installation
Open the .htaccess file and remove the Wordpress entry and save the file. The Wordpress entry will be noted with the word "Wordpress"
In Cpanel, go to the DATABASE section and select the database associated to your Wordpress site. Delete the database, then delete the USER assigned to the Wordpress database.
And that should be it! If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page. Regards, Arnel C.

Hi Rooster, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. If you installed WordPress through Fantastico de Luxe in cPanel, you can use the "Remove" option in Fantastico to un-install WordPress. This will remove all the files as well as the database. If you installed WordPress manually, you'll need to delete all the files associated with WordPress, and then you can delete the database. All of this can be done through cPanel using the Databases option (to remove the database) and file manager (to delete the files). Using File Manager If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S

Hi TheDove, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. You can remove WordPress at any time, if you do not wish to use it. If you installed it using Fantastico, it's recommended you remove it through the Fantastico interface. Once it is removed, you can then request Premium Website Builder be activated on your account and use that. Here's a few articles on how to use Premium Website Builder as well as activating it.
