Thanks for your response. The issue was the following:
after moving the website to a new host, my email stayed with Inmotion but the name servers did not redirect to Inmotion. Now it is fixed and works smoothly.

Thanks for the question about InMotion emails being sent to a Gmail account. Our emails do not go to any particular location unless they are set that way. Please check your email settings. InMotion will not create a forwarder or filter for an email account without the account owner's permission.
