Where Should Java and Solr be Installed?
I got root access and am looking to install java and solr for use on my site. Just curious if I should install these programs in the root folder or perhaps in /home/username folder?

Hi.Java should be installed with your OS package manager (yum, apt, etc.) which will place software files in system directories automatically. Solr official documentation states starting with Solr in your home directory.
