how to install a public key to for access to server via ssh

trying to give access to vaultkeeper for backyups into the site. 

they provided a public key that needs to be added to some file on the server ..   how to  do this ?

I just purchased a basic unmanaged VPS for 5$ a month, and it said I have to first setup an access to my server. I went through the guide, added some keys, and when I wanted to install a key on my server, it displayed a message:


"Failed to update public keys on your server"

Any advice?...

Hello and thanks for asking. You can do this in AMP on Cloud Servers (non-cPanel VPSs) and cPanel > SSH Access. If you have issues adding SSH keys to your server, please contact Live Support for further assistance.
