My client successfully sent email from an account that doesn't exist.
How could my client send an email from a SIMILAR looking account? His email address is [email protected]. He just sent an email from [email protected] and it was successfully sent to the recipient. The recipient tried to respond but this address doesn't exist. How did he do this? This is what it looks like:

[email protected] is not a working address and it bounced back when I tried it. It is missing the -cts at the end.
Hello DiR,
Thanks for your question about successfully sending an email from a non-existent account. You can actually create an email forwarder and then delete the email account. So, in essence, the email account doesn't exist - only the forwarding alias. Emails sent to the email account would be forwarded to the email assigned to the alias. Replies to the forwarder can be sent an error message or ignored depending on the setting used for the forwarder.
I hope this helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance, please let us know.Regards,
Arnel C.
