Tracking website visits

I would love some help with how to use CPanel to view who has entered our website and then how they navigated within the sites pages, and even, if possible how they got to the site to begin with and how long they spent on each page.

I use Google Adwords and am trying to see who is coming from there and the quality of thier visit, rather than just the click through rates that Google provides.

Hi SLL, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. cPanel contains a program called AWSTATS that you can use to see basic visitor statistics. I'd suggest using Google analytics instead, and you can link your Adwords account to it. I have a few tutorials for you to view which may help you out: How to use Awstats Creating a Google Analytics Account Installing Google Analytics on your Account Awstats will not show you the paths that the visitor took when the landed on your website. In Adwords, you can set up Goals (conversions) which can be handy. That way, when a website visitor clicks on your ad and lands on your site, if they visit a certain page, it will be recorded in Adwords as a conversion. Conversion Rates can be helpful in determining how effective your AdWords campaigns are. Typically, I use a contact form as a method to measure to success of Adwords. If the visitor attempts to make contact with me (the actual conversion occurs on a redirect to a thank you page on the contact form). However, you can create any number of goals to be used as conversions. You can set a time limit, meaning any visitor from AdWords that stays on your website more than 5 minutes is considered a success. Keep in mind, the object of AdWords is to drive the visitor to a Call To Action. A call to action is basically what you are trying to have the visitor do once they land on your website.
