Changed name servers - then what!?

Hi,

I have a domain at 1and1.com that I want to point to one of my sites at inmotionhosting.com. I've changed the name servers to:

Domain name : inrhythm.us
Name server 1: ns.inmotionhosting.com
Name server 2: ns2.inmotionhosting.com

And confirmed this is active (did it a couple days ago)

What now? How does the domain get linked to my account, and a specific site (directory) in that site?

There's go to be something else to be done - just pointing to the generic name servers can't be all there is. How do I tell inmotion nameserver that the domain is mine, and it should point to xyz site/directory within my account?

Hi Larry, What now? How does the domain get linked to my account, and a specific site (directory) in that site? When you signed up for your account, a username was created for you and you were given a place on the server to store your files. Let's say we gave you the username userna5 and your location on the server was /home/userna5 When you signed up, you either registered a domain name or you entered a domain name that you already owned. In our example, let's say you told us your domain name was yourdomain.com During the sign up process, we updated our server's Apache (the web server) configuration file with this information: We host yourdomain.com. The document root for yourdomain.com is /home/userna5/public_html. That's it! So, when you point your domain name to us and our server begins to get traffic for your domain name, it is the apache configuration file that tells the server where to load the website files from.
