Trouble downloading IMAP email to android device from allegianttech.com
Hi,
I have setup IMAP email on my android device for the domain allegianttech.com
However, the server is always sluggish and it only downloads some email (recent) on each sync try. I am wondering if there is s server setting that can be tweaked to fix this. The behaviour is that it will download 4-5 emails, then stop. Next time I go to check the email, it inbox is either empty or has those last 4-5 emails and will download another 3-4 emails. Hitting download more does download a few more but not all.
I have tried on two different devices (android and windows phone) with same results.

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. There's nothing on the server limiting how many emails are downloaded through IMAP. Typically, this is handled in the device itself.
I personally use an Android device, and have not run into the problems you describe. However, I know in the Android OS itself, I can specify the amount I sync with the phone. You may want to check into your settings within Android.
As for the Windows phone, I'm not familiar with the OS at all, so it's tough to advise you. I do know that there's no IMAP settings on the server side limiting your syncs.
