The site showing on the site is indeed coming from the server. I made a test file that took precedence over the front page and it shows both on the domain as well as the Temp URL.
If you are trying to view the site via the Temp URL, it is likely you will get a 404. Content Management Systems (CMSs) such as Drupal are very URL sensitive so alternate URLS like the Temp URL may not show up correctly.
