Transferring domain

I already have a domain and account with Inmotion hosting. What would I need to do to transfer my domain and hosting services to another provider? Creating a website using Inmotion is much more difficult then other hosting companies I have found. I am NOT interested in paying Inmotion to create my website for me. My service isn't up until October but would like to move it sooner if I choose to change providers. What would need to be done and what fees are associated? Thanks!

Hello Indulgentdesserts, While we do have our Premium Web Builder, which is a wizard style builder for creating your site, you are not limited to only using this one program. If you would prefer a platform such as Wordpress, Joomla, OSCommerce or a variety of other popular options, you will find these packages are easily installed using Fantastico De Luxe located in the Software/Services section of your cPanel. Please contact support anytime, day or night, to ask about these alternatives to using the builder or feel free to check them out on your own. Also remember that offline web authoring tools such as Frontpage and Dreamweaver are all supported by our servers as well! If you still wish to cancel service and move away, our support team will be able to assist you. To do so, you would need to contact our support department (open 24/7) with that request. Be sure to validate your account with either the last 4 digits of the credit card on file, or the current Account Management Panel (AMP) password. They work with our cancellations team who can advise on any monetary details that may be involved. They will be able to release your domain name upon cancellation or even simply point it to your new hosts nameservers, whichever you desire so you can get set up quickly and properly at your new host.
