500 Internal Server Error Prior to DNS Changes

I am trying to transfer my site from an old host to inMotion. I have uploaded my directory to the public_html folder and have created databases through cPanel for the two databases I previously had. I tried to test the site using the temporary URL I was given after registering but I received a 500 Internal Server Error page instead. Is it possible to test the site prior to making the DNS changes, and if so, is there any reason for why this error has occurred? I have checked the error logs but have not seen anything come up at all.

Hello Hexon,

I just ran a utility that goes through and corrects file permissions issues. I did try to run the temp URL, but there's protection on it, so I can't tell if the problem was fixed. Give it a try yourself and let us know if the problems persists.
