Specifically, when there is a problem with mod_rewrite, whats available to me for debugging. I know a log can be setup and a debug level set, but I dont think I can do that from a shared host.
You can't really debug it in that fashion - like a program, where you can go line-by-line. But, you can run it and then check the Cpanel Server error log. Then once you've seen an error, go back into .htaccess and comment out a line to see if it makes difference. If you want more specific logs, you will need to write into live support ([email protected]) and request the specific log files you're looking for. They can run the Apache error logs that you do not have access to.
