Setting upp XMPP / Jabber service

Has anyone had any experience setting up an XMPP / Jabber service on a site hosted by inmotion, and if so are there any useful links you would like to share with me to help me get started? :)

Unfortunatly, our shared servers cannot support a XMPP / Jabber service. It would take a VPS or Dedicated server to hold the pre-requisites and resources for that type of service.
